Feeling frustrated with AP Chemistry? Are quantum mechanics, stoichiometry and equilibrium just too much to handle? Tokyo Academics is holding supplementary review and problem sessions for students taking AP Chemistry at ASIJ.
Review concepts from the week’s lessons
Reinforce problem-solving techniques from class
Learn new methods for solving the most difficult problems
Develop fundamental skills: note-taking, efficient review, and conceptual discussion
Focused Review: Students will leave each class able to discuss concepts with their peers. Before the AP test, the class will shift to student-led review, emphasizing efficient study and review techniques that will prepare the students for college-level science.
Problem-Solving Methods: For some specific units (kinetics, equilibrium, titrations, etc.), a more specific, step-based approach can be helpful. Students will be provided with and led through step-by-step guides from our Advanced Chemistry Methods Series.
Problem Session: Students will be provided with a set of problems related to the lesson to work on independently. They will then discuss with one other person to compare answers clarify approach. Students will be asked to put up their worked out answers on the board in preparation for discussion.
Q&A Session: Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about homework or clarify more difficult concepts from class.
